A ranking of over 4-hundred communities in Canada by Macleans magazine shows Sault Ste. Marie has lots of room for improvement.
The Sault came in around the middle of the pack at 215th.
That’s well back of some other northeast communities including Timmins at 152nd, North Bay ranked 138th, Sudbury at 116 and West Nippising which ranked highest in the northeast at 82.
415 towns and cities in all were reviewed based on a number of categories including such things as wealth and economy, affordability, population growth, taxes, crime, weather and access to health care among other factors.
